Mr. Ed Bolderston (Head of Junior School and KS2 Literacy Teacher)

Ed BolderstonBA Econ in Geography, University of Wales Swansea, Wales 1996 to 1999
PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate of Education) Christchurch College, Canterbury, England 1999 to 2000.

Before coming to Greensteds Junior School in April 2007, I taught for seven years in a highly regarded Junior School called St Margaret’s Church of England, Kent, UK.  Here in Kenya I have thoroughly enjoyed the challenges of my new role as Head of Junior School at Greensteds and look forward to our future with much anticipation.

Educating children is something I enjoy doing very much.  It is also something I consider as a huge responsibility and challenge.  I feel that it is very important for us as a school to find the most enjoyable, interactive, effective and hands-on approaches to learning in order for our students to achieve their very best and thrive in school.

I have a number of personal interests which include cookery, cricket, wildlife and hiking and I look to bring my enthusiasm in these areas into school life by running a club for budding young chefs and by coaching cricket.

Quotations from the Year 5 Students:

Sean, “Mr. Bolderston is very entertaining when he reads stories with different voices.”

Jamal, “Mr. Bolderston was very helpful in getting our costumes together for Book Day.”

Katie, “Mr. Bolderston is understanding and encouraging to us all.”
