Key Stage 4 Pastoral PDF Print E-mail
Years 10 and 11 are important and exciting times for our students with them sitting their IGCSE examinations and getting used to the expectations and requirements of their newly chosen options. What our pupils achieve within these years will mould their lives forever and that is why we aim to give the students in Years 10 and 11 an experienced Tutor who is available for advice both academic and pastoral.

There are 2 Tutors in Year 10 and 3 Tutors in Year 11 who see the pupils for 30 minutes every morning. During this time relationships are developed and a Tutor program followed. Key Stage 4 meet every third Wednesday for a Year assembly led by the Head of Year but on a topic chosen and presented by the tutor groups in turn.

The Tutor groups are small in numbers with no more than 20 pupils in each group. This ensures that the Tutor has time to treat all of the pupils in the group as individuals and has the time to cater for their individual needs and also has time to help them cope with any stresses they may have encountered from living in a boarding school.
